How It Is Made

The yarn is produced by feeding fully drawn nylon filament through a false-twist texturing machine, where it is heated, twisted, and then rapidly cooled to set a permanent helical crimp into each filament. This crimped structure gives the yarn a spring-like behavior - when stretched, the crimps straighten out; when released, they snap back to their coiled state.

Key Characteristics

Inherent Elasticity Without Spandex

Because there is no spandex core, Nylon Stretch Yarn offers a softer, more gradual stretch compared to spandex-core yarns. It provides comfortable give without the tight "squeeze" sensation often associated with elastane-based products.

Voluminous and Plush Hand Feel

The textured crimps create micro-air pockets between filaments, giving the yarn a fuller, thicker, and softer touch - noticeably more voluminous than flat nylon filament of the same denier.

Excellent Dye Uptake

The textured surface increases the yarn's surface area, allowing it to absorb dyes more readily and evenly, resulting in vibrant, uniform colors with good wash-fastness.

Moisture Transport

The crimped structure creates capillary channels that wick moisture away from the skin, making it suitable for activewear and performance garments.
