Nylon is a synthetic fiber material developed by the distinguished American scientist Carlos Carothers and his research team. It was the world's first synthetic fiber, possessing numerous excellent properties and a wide range of applications.

It is a general term for thermoplastic resins containing repeating amide groups -[NHCO]- in their molecular backbone, including various types such as aliphatic PA, aliphatic-aromatic PA, and aromatic PA. The advent of nylon materials revolutionized textiles; its synthesis was not only a major breakthrough in the synthetic fiber industry but also a milestone in the field of polymer chemistry.

Nylon materials possess a series of excellent physical and chemical properties. First, it has high strength and rigidity, capable of withstanding high pressure and heavy loads while maintaining structural integrity. This allows nylon to replace metal materials in many applications while maintaining similar strength but at a lighter weight. Second, nylon materials have excellent impact resistance, absorbing the energy of impacts and vibrations, making them suitable for applications requiring protection against external impacts and vibrations. Furthermore, nylon has good chemical corrosion resistance, resisting the erosion of various chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and solvents. In addition, nylon materials also have advantages such as high temperature resistance, dimensional stability, and electrical insulation, which enable them to maintain stable performance in various harsh environments.
